I am a bit of a les mis fan! This cast are incredible. Jean Valjean has such a range with great depth during Who Am I to controlled highs in Bring Him Home. Javert brought me to tears with Stars and Eponine reduced me to a sobbing wreck with the best version of On My Own I’ve ever heard. The Thenardiers steal every scene, Sacha Baron Cohen should’ve seen these before he killed the character in the film. The student leader blew me away with Do You Hear Tge People sing but Marius was too wet to be believable even though his voice was stunning. My only mildly negative comments are related to the Stygian gloom lighting design and the reliance on projection. Javert’s death was imaginative but the projection was slightly off so the balustrade was floating Minor niggles in a gorgeous show

We are seeing the touring version of this in November so looking forward to seeing it with a different cast to the London one.
