Guys and Dolls
Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys And Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend, nightclub performer Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Guys And Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.

What they loved
- Great staging
- Immersive feeling involved with the charachters
- This was a production by a local school. The orchestra was excellent, the acting and singing was very good, but the show itself is not one I'd like to watch again!! A couple of good songs. but the rest was very average!
- A fun, enjoyable show with some fantastic songs and entertaining characters. The production currently at the Bridge Theatre feels fresh, upbeat, and up-to-date.

What they didn't enjoy
- Trying to keep in withbstory
- The show overall is not one I would go to see again!
- The story isn't the best, just a bit generic but it's obviously not what this show really wants to focus on. I wasn't a huge fan of being in the immersive standing pit at the Bridge production, because my view was obscured by other audience members and you are constantly distracted and moved around by theatre staff to give space for actors or set pieces to come on. I ended up feeling like I missed a lot of the show.
