Kilworth House Theatre is thrilled to showcase Hairspray for their 2023 Theatre Season, marking the first-ever outdoor staging of Hairspray in the UK. 
This unique outdoor rendition of Hairspray is set to run for 52 performances throughout the summer.

The 1950s are gone, and change is in the air! Hairspray, winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and nominated for 10 Olivier Awards, is a family-friendly musical brimming with laughter, romance, and incredibly catchy tunes. Set in 1962 Baltimore, the endearing plus-size teen, Tracy Turnblad, played by Charlotte-Hannah Jones, dreams of dancing on the popular "Corny Collins Show". When her dream becomes a reality, Tracy transforms from a social outcast to an overnight sensation. She must now use her newfound influence to dethrone the current Teen Queen, win the heart of Link Larkin, portrayed by Alex Lodge, and integrate a TV network - all without damaging her hairstyle!

From Tuesday 27th June to Sunday 6th August, Hairspray promises to be the ultimate feel-good family musical comedy, filled with show-stopping numbers that will have you tapping your feet and swaying in your seat! The show features iconic musical theatre hits such as 'Good Morning Baltimore', 'The Nicest Kids in Town', 'Welcome to the 60's', 'I Know Where I've Been', and the unforgettable Hairspray anthem 'You Can't Stop the Beat'!
