As an obsessive "Wicked" fan I love Kerry`s voice and find find the rock versions exciting. I think I will wait for the complete package though. Hopefully it will ionclude her version of "Someone else`s story" my favourite yet. Also I would love to hear her do more with her co-star Oliver Tompsett who has an amazing rock/soul voice.

Know this has been out for a few weeks but only got around to getting it yesterday. Was gonna wait for the full album to come out but heard from so many people that that is like a year away so I bought this All I can say is WOW ! The orchestrations are so rich and full and Kerrys voice just soars above it all. Her voice is amazing. I could listen to her forever and have had the CD on play ever since I got home and first thing this morning. Def money well spent. Just want her to come back from New York now so I can go see her again in Wicked.
Miss you Kerry !

This is the first time I have spent 9 on what is essentially a DC single, and I will never do it again. I thought, hey, it`s Kerry Ellis... it`s sure to be worth it. It isn`t.
Kerry, as always, is unbelievable in her power and form but if you think that putting these songs to the overblown glory-rock of Brian May will put a new twist on it, it doesn`t. Both tracks, the vocal and the backing, work fine on their own but together, it`s a mess. The production value here is piss-poor and actually sounds a bit like karaoke. There is no compromise from Kerry (and why should there be?), but there is also none from the music and in the competition between the two, both are losers.
It`s sad that such a great singer (and essentially, a great vocal recording) are wasted on this heap of rubbish. My 9 has clearly gone towards stroking May`s ego, but then again, he hasn`t worn his clogs for a while. I like to think he used my money to buy some new ones.

I am a massive fan of Kerry, Wicked, Brian May and WWRY but the day I spend 9 quid on a cd single has not come yet and neither is it about to. The official press release says this is a taster so I will wait for the main course and hope it is less than £15. If it has 9 songs on it expect to pay £27!! Defying Inflation this should be called.

What can I say? Here I was, thinking these 3 fantastic songs couldn`t get any better. I was so wrong! "Defying Gravity" and "I`m Not That Girl" from the musical Wicked are beautiful songs as they are, but with the incredibly talented Kerry Ellis on properly recorded vocals and Brian May`s spectacular music arrangements, these songs are suddenly transformed from brilliant showtunes into awesome "Wicked meets Queen" tracks! And songs that can stand alone without any problems without the background story of the musical. They are just wicked, they really are. As for "No One But You," that song is just gorgeous. Kerry`s vocals soars and sound better than ever, such a beautiful song sung by an amazing singer... It doesn`t really get any better. So I guess there`s not much left to say, but: BUY IT! Like now. You owe it to yourself.
