More information:

“Million Dollar Quartet” is the name given to recordings made on Tuesday December 4, 1956 in the Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The recordings were of an impromptu jam session among Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. This album is not the jam session that was recorded in Memphis that day, but it is a tribute to the four legendary musicians that took part. The tracks which are featured include several versions of songs that were recorded in Sam Phillips’ studios, but this compilation extends much further with some of the greatest performances ever committed to vinyl by the four legendary musicians.
