In February this year, the search for The Harmonies began when a call to entry was distributed to all WI members via their

magazine and the WI Life, to send in a demo showcasing their vocal talents. Met with an impressive number of applications,

the judges began the difficult task of selecting the entries. Including a staggering 600 renditions of Jerusalem, the entrants were reduced to a shortlist of 30 finalists.

The final line up is made up of Naomi (from Bristol), Doreen (from Dalmellington, South West Scotland), Jan (from Kent),

Jenny (from Tamworth) and Gemma (from London) and together they have a range in age from 25 to 57.
